Solar eclipse in Ibiza – 12 August 2026

On 12 August 2026, the skies over Ibiza will host an exceptional event: a total solar eclipse, visible from the island and coinciding with sunset. A rare astronomical phenomenon that has not occurred in Ibiza since 1905 and will not happen again for generations.

For just over a minute, daylight will fade into twilight as the sun is completely covered, creating a moment of wonder that is difficult to put into words. A unique event that invites us to pause, look up and experience the sky with attention and respect.
