9 Ideal beaches for the whole family

Can Lluc  is a family-run hotel in the heart of the island.

That is why in this post we want to share which are the best beaches to go with the family and which families staying at the agrotourism Can Lluc like the most.

Cala Boix

It is a beautiful cove located in San Carlos, very particular for its black sand and transparent waters surrounded by pine trees. Ideal to go with children, it has free parking and two restaurants offering typical Ibizan cuisine.

It is a wide cove and has several amenities such as sun beds, umbrellas, lifeguards and a beach bar facing the sea.

From Can Lluc: 28km (36 min).

Playa Es Figueral 

Only 4 km from San Carlos two separate adjoining beaches form Es Figueral. It has a great family atmosphere with many services, such as sunbeds, umbrellas, water sports and several beach bars. Some of these activities are kayaking and paddle surfing, guided by the instructors of Kayak Ibiza.

The surroundings of this beach are picturesque, and can be reached by kayak or paddle surf to beautiful spots such as s’Illot de s’or, the Canal den Martí, es Pou des Lleó, and even the island of Tagomago for the more sporty ones.

From Can Lluc: 26Km (34 min). 

Cala Llonga 

Just a few kilometres from Santa Eulalia del Río and the Roca Llisa Golf Club, Cala Llonga is perfect for families travelling with children, as it offers services and a totally safe bathing area for the little ones.

Its shallow seabed makes it perfect for the elderly or people with reduced mobility. The beach has restaurants, a wooden walkway, public toilets, shaded areas…

From Can Lluc: 17,5km (24min).

Cala Tarida

Cala Tarida is in San José, in the west of the island. It has a beautiful landscape formed by sand that contrasts with the rocks and islets, the waters are calm and crystalline, and it is always sheltered from the wind. Sports are popular and there are plenty of services for families and restaurants well known by the locals such as S’Espartar and Ses Eufàbies.
 
In the surroundings of Cala Tarida there is a small cove with fishermen’s huts, very typical of the Ibizan coasts.
 
From Can Lluc: 17,9Km (26 min).
 

Ses Salines

This beach is one of the most famous on the island. Surrounded by dunes, sapines and pine trees, it is located 9km from Ibiza town. It is located in the Natural Park of Ses Salines d’Eivissa (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001).

It can be reached by car, bus, motorbike or even bicycle, ideal for a trip with the children and a stop for a dip. The water is crystal-clear and the sands are white and for lovers of walks by the sea, there is a route that leads to the tower of Ses Portes, with spectacular views of Formentera and the neighbouring islets.

The beach offers different atmospheres in each of its beach bars: Beso Beach, Malibu, Jockey Club and Sa Trinxa.

Sa Trinxa is located in front of a rocky area with a footbridge like a trampoline, which is great fun for the little ones.

From Can Lluc: 18,6km (27min).

Cala Nova

Just 6km from Santa Eulalia we find Cala Nova, located next to Es Canar. It is an attractive beach with turquoise waters. Like many other beaches in Santa Eulalia, you have to go far out to cover it, so it is ideal to go with children. There are sun loungers and parasols, pedal boats for hire, beach bars and four restaurants.

The chiringuitos offer local food, some of these are Aiyanna and Atzaró beach which are among the most luxurious and the chiringuito Cala Nova.

From Can Lluc: 8,9km (15min).

Playa de Portinatx 

It is situated in the north of the island in a location known to be family friendly. There are many possibilities such as sunbathing, water sports, swimming and snorkelling. In addition, there is a very pleasant and easy 10 minute walk from the beach of s’ Arenal Gros to s’ Arenal Petit that children can easily do.

In the north of Portinatx is the Punta d’Es Moscarter lighthouse, one of the tallest and most solid lighthouses in the Balearic Islands thanks to its 52 metres of height. It could be said that it has become one of the most special lighthouses of the Pitïusas Islands due to its aesthetic beauty and its geographical position.

From Can Lluc: 24,4km (36min).

 

Cala d’Hort 

A 10 minutos en coche desde San José, Cala d’Hort es una playa reducida y con mucho encanto, muy visitada por sus maravillosas vistas al islote de Es Vedrá y sus espectaculares sunsets.

Se ubica en una pendiente en la que acaba la carretera principal de acceso. Se trata de una playa de no fumadores, con distintos servicios como hamacas, sombrillas, restaurantes, boutique, socorristas, acceso para discapacitados.

Algunos de estos restaurantes son Es boldador, El Carmen y el chiringuito Cala D’Hort estos ofrecen comida mediterránea y local y la oprtinidad de comer con los pies en la arena.

Desde Can Lluc: 27,2km (36min).

Cala Salada  

Situada en San Antonio, se encuentra rodeada de colinas con pinos. Sus arenas son blancas y las aguas son de las más cristalinas de la isla. A lo largo de su costa se forman piscinas naturales y pequeñas ensenadas de arena muy agradables para el baño.

Se puede llegar en autobús, en coche o incluso hay un servicio regular de barco desde San Antonio. La entrada de coches está restringida hasta completar el aforo del parking, aunque hay un servicio regular de autobús desde San Antonio. 

Cala Saladeta, en sus alrededores, es  una calita de pequeñas dimensiones con mucho encanto, a la que se puede llegar paseando o nadando. La familia del restaurante Cala Salada ofrece una carta basada en pescados frescos y arroces típicos de la zona.

Desde Can Lluc: 12km (19 min).

Cala San Vicente

Ubicada al norte de la isla. La zona de San Vicente es el núcleo turístico ideal para pasar unas vacaciones en familia. 

Por lo que la playa también lo es. Tiene forma curvada y fina arena dorada, las aguas son cristalinas y atrás hay un paseo marítimo. Es una playa segura, muy ancha y bonita.  

El paseo marítimo está lleno de palmeras y cafeterías a escasos metros de la playa  y además cuenta con algunos bares y restaurantes para todos los presupuestos.

Desde Can Lluc: 30,5Km (39min).
